Specific limitations to be aware of:
- Monte Carlo simulations (e.g. Monty Hall, Gambler's Ruin) are based on random sampling and have inherent variance. Run more trials to converge on the theoretical answer.
- Bayesian and frequentist results depend on your assumptions (priors, independence). Garbage in, garbage out.
- Game-theory outputs assume a fair, independent-trial model. Real casinos, lotteries, and shuffled cards may deviate slightly.
- Confidence-interval tools assume your sample is representative. Convenience samples from biased sources will give misleadingly precise intervals.
3. Not a substitute for professional advice
Nothing on this site is professional advice. In particular:
- Bayes' theorem outputs (e.g. medical-test positive result) are not medical advice. Talk to a doctor.
- Expected value and Kelly outputs are not financial advice. Talk to a licensed advisor.
- Chi-square and confidence-interval outputs are not a substitute for a trained statistician reviewing your study design.
- Casino-game probabilities are not a recommendation to gamble. All gambling carries risk.

ProbLab does not claim that any tool gives users an "edge" in any game of chance, nor that any strategy we describe will produce long-term profit. All casino-game math shown (roulette, craps, blackjack, lottery) is published for educational purposes. House edges are mathematical realities, not opinions.
